Retreat to the Lost City of the Incas

On July 24, 1911, American archaeologist Hiram Bingham stumbled across the preserved ruins we now know as Machu Picchu—a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Although abandoned for some 100 years after its construction, the “Old Peak” (Machu Picchu in the native Quechua language) is believed to have been a royal getaway or sacred site for Inca leaders before the Spanish conquest. Celebrate the 108th anniversary of this architectural marvel’s rediscovery and join us for a retreat among the Incan terraced fields on your next passage through Peru!
